Some Day Island

You are responsible for your happiness.
Period.

I am the first person to provide the toolbox to transcend your health, performance, and potential, I am the last person to twist your arm to get the job done. Optimal health, performance, and longevity represent an inside-out proposition.

“The only thing standing between you and your goal is the bullshit story you keep telling
yourself as to why you can’t achieve it.”

Change is a dynamic aspect of life. It represents the necessary constant most people resist. Whining about our circumstances is much easier than implementing lifestyle changes. The mayhem commences when we wrap our decisions with emotions. Our incisiveness becomes laced with fear-based illusions versus growth and development. Accountability and actualizing your true potential become lost in the whirlwind of excuses.

Find below some of the most common excuses detailed in a gem by Kathy Caprino –> Forbes.com.

How many times have you used any of these excuses?
I have used some of them. I do not know anyone who has not used a few of them.
Just because excuses are available does not qualify them as appropriate action.

~I do not have time;
~I do not have the money;
~I am not ready to do the work required to change.
~I am afraid of what I do not know.
~What if it does not work out?
~What will people think or say?
~My family needs me to keep doing this.
~I do not believe it is going to work out.
~This is just me – I cannot change it.

Stages of Readiness

People will not change behavior until it becomes inevitable – thanks only to intolerable circumstances. Denial is deemed an acceptable out-clause to commitment. The foundation of wellness is the Trans-Theoretical Model [TTM] of change developed by James Prochaska and his associates John Norcross and Carlo DiClemete.

Find an overview of Prochaska’s cyclical Stages of Change Theory –> Stages of Readiness.
Assess your position respective to change.

A decision means finality.
Excuses or a Plan B are no longer acceptable.

Fear versus Growth

Clarity, confidence, courage, and commitment will delineate a miserable life from a brilliant one.
Get clear on your vision and identify why it will serve others.

You have the choice to do anything with your life from any location on the planet. You can sit on your hands or take action. You can exist or thrive. The key is having the courage to make the decision to live your dreams.

When you understand adversity happens for us not to us everything changes.
Change your mindset.

View obstacles as opportunities.
View problems as solutions.

“Even if you fall flat on your face at least you are moving forward.”
~
Sue Luke

Too many people wait for the ideal scenario to initiate lifestyle changes. This is a losing proposition that breeds disappointment. Circumstances do not matter.

Challenge yourself to keep creating no matter the number of times your ideas, plans, projects, and dreams blow in your face. Allow failure to drive your perseverance to unparalleled levels of authenticity.

Envision. Believe. Create. Manifest. Serve.
To do otherwise is a disservice to yourself and the world.

Self-actualization will only be realized when you merge lifestyle changes with your definition of happiness.
Shift happens when you author the purpose and meaning of your life.

Mindfulness manifests synergy which cultivates self-actualization.
A limitless life is a choice…
